Hello,
I am using a Windows system to run flow5.
I recently executed xml script for stability analysis and found that, whether executing the script in the CMD/Terminal or via the module menu option in the GUI of flow5 (Ctrl + X), the modal eigenvalue and dynamic derivatives for longitudinal and lateral stability are missing in the log file output to the specified path. After executing the xml script via the GUI of flow5, a log report window pops up. Although this window contains the modal eigenvalue and dynamic derivatives, extracting the data from the log report window for batch processing is not easy.
Figure 1 shows the log file output to the specified path after executing the script;Figure 2 shows the log report window after executing the script via the GUI.
output log file after executing script(figure1)
output log report window(figure2)
I didn’t see any settings related to the output log in the xml script file. So, I think this might be a bug. The absence of this data in the log file complicates batch processing of the output log. Could you please deal with this problem?
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Hello,
Thanks for reporting this. I’ll fix it in the next version.
Please keep in mind however that the log file is for information only. The intent is to inform the user on whether the calculation was successful or not, but it shouldn’t be used to extract results. It is unstructured and the output changes from one version to the next.
That being said, the eigenvalues and vectors are stored as part of the plane operating points. Only the eignevalues can be accessed in the properties window on the bottom left of the screen. I’ll add the eigenvectors and also add both to the export of operating points to a text file.
