Hello, I’m currently planning on building a new PC and wanted to know if there are any informations regarding recommended Specs for the usage of flow5 / xflr5.

For xflr5, any configuration will do.
In flow5, multi-threading has been implemented to a large extent, so you should target the max. number of threads that you can afford, and the higher the clock speed the better.
Another consideration is that the MKL libraries seem to run faster on Intel CPU (as should be expected) so all things equal an Intel processor is preferable: https://flow5.tech/docs/flow5_doc/Performance.html
Also since flow5 can handle large mesh sizes in reasonable time thanks to MKL and multi-threading, you need a large RAM. Typically 8 GB will allow the handling of 10,000 size meshes, but with 16 GB you should have extra margin.
I work comfortably with 16 GB and an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X core/16 threads @3.5GHz. Some users apparently have even more powerful configurations because I can hardly run the high mesh sizes which they share in their project files!
The graphics card is not a consideration – flow5 uses only a fraction of its memory and GPU.
Lastly, just in case you are targeting macOS, it is unlikely that flow5 will be released for the future ARM-based Macs.
