Fuse import confuse

Dmitry UlyanovDmitry Ulyanov asked 7 months ago

Hello, I wanted to clarify the question regarding the import of the fuselage from a stl file, if we have a small plane (fuselage length 1 m) and a good mesh from a blender, it is imported very crookedly, and sometimes it is not imported at all (it does not read the panels), but if you zoom in, that same stl file, everything is read perfectly, but when you zoom out, panel recognition also does not work correctly

Please try to import using a small unit i.e. mm.

Well the first fuselage looks good. Why don’t you use this one and scale it down in flow5?
Import problems result from the absence of units in a STL file. flow5 will discard triangles with edges smaller than its internal precision.

maybe any scale method you have? i can attach the fuse files

1. Before exporting the STL mesh, make sure that there are no triangle with small edges, e.g. less than a mm long
2. Note the unit you are using when exporting the STL mesh
3. Use the same unit when importing the mesh into flow5

If unsucessful, please post the import report here.
