Hello,
Would it be possible to add the import feature of .stl files into the Sail design module for Hulls. Currently only .xml, .stp and .igs are allowed but in the Plane design module .stl files can be imported as fuselage.
This feature would be helpfull to import already meshed spars to the study.

Hello,
Technically it could be added. Note however that this would only be visual, since the hull is ignored in calculations. The reason is that I could not find a convenient way to generate a continuous mesh combining water surface and hull for each bank angle.

Thanks for your quick answer.
It is stated that hull can be included if fully emerged, and a button appears in the analysis settings to choose weather to include the hull or not.
In my case, i would like to include Mast and Boom that never touch the water.
I have tried to import them as .stp files but the mesher struggles, so i thought i could import them directly as mesh files.
My mistake, I had forgotten that I had restored the option for the AC75 study.
I’ll add the STL hull to the list of things to do.
