Log window closing automatically

Szymon SzyszkoSzymon Szyszko asked 3 years ago

Dear Andre,
I have been recently running some calculations in flow5. I have run the same model with a different analysis method. Each with and without viscous loop. Runs without viscous loop run ok and log windows displays fine. For the same runs, but with viscous loop enabled, log displays when the program runs but disappears when finished – making it impossible to check elapsed time for analysis. Seems like a small bug.
Also, is there any way to get a running log message for analysis ran some time ago? If not, it might be useful to be able to access it at any time!

Thanks in advance!

Szymon

Hi Szymon,
By default, the analysis closes automatically unless the checkbox “Keep opened on errors” has been checked AND there was an error during the analysis. There is no option to keep the window opened if the analysis was without error. Now that you mention it, maybe this is something that needs to be reconsidered.
Also by default all the log files are deleted when flow5 closes. You can change this behaviour by unchecking the box “Clean log files on exit” in the Preferences/Save, load & export. The log files are located in the user-defined temp directory.
